Many people suffer from back pain. They go to the doctor and the doctor tells them that they have mechanical back pain, so what exactly is it.

Mechanical Back Pain

When back pain is mechanical, it means that the problem lies in the parts of the back that move. This means that youre dealing with your spine; the vertebra and discs as well as the muscles and ligaments. It doesnt sound very specific, but when you consider at what times your back hurts the most, its probably when youre moving or working it. When back pain comes from this area it might seem alarming, but you dont always have to be worried, you just need to know whats causing it so you can fix it.

Since this type of back pain is often caused from movement of any kind, its most common that the pain begins when you have done something to injure these parts of the back. It could have been something small, such as lifting a box the wrong way, but youre going to feel it for a long time.

Once youve strained your muscles, you might find that tired muscles cause the back to become weaker or out of alignment. The stronger side of the back pulls at the weaker side and over time this can cause problems with the discs of the back.

Pain Relief

Okay, so you know that youve hurt yourself somehow. It took a while to heal up but you still have pain. How can you fix it?

Most of your health care providers will tell you that after a few days of rest, the best thing you can do to ease your mechanical back pain is to start doing certain exercises. The idea is to strengthen both sides of the back and the muscles in the core so that youre less likely to strain your back. Over time, youll find that your back is stronger and youre more able to do the lifting and yard work that until now youve worked so hard to avoid.

You should be careful when youre doing any kind of back muscle exercises, however as you could injure weak muscles if you arent careful. It will likely hurt a little bit at first, but with time you will become stronger and your back and core muscles will be less painful. Youll probably also notice that as you balance the strength of the muscles in your back you begin to reduce your mechanical back pain for good.

Final Visit

We made our final visit to our Dipolog house and ;ot for sale on 5th January and it looks like completion will overrun our timeframe. We spotted one problem in the kitchen area, where a joiner was installing a cabinet where we will have a fridge/freezer placed, There are still some wiring and painting to be completed. The guttering was due to arrive that afternoon.

The Gas/electric hob had not been ordered, so we went to Better living Mediatrix Homes normal Supplier, but they did not have any so we got Mediatrix homes to order one from Emcor, but it will not arrive for a further 8 days.

We went to the District Water board to arrange connection, but it seems they have some kind of dispute with Mediatrix Homes at the moment, so will connect our house. Mediatrix will provide us with a temporary solution.

The most time consuming part was arranging electricity connection at Zanaco . we went armed with blueprint and completion certificates. Now we discovered they calculate the deposit based on estimated consumption. now we have a lot of lights and sockets put in by architect, many of which will not be used, which results in a high estimate, if we had known this in the beginning we would have modified the lighting and socket plan. We had to go to 3 different departments, and then pay the deposit, so that they would carry out a final inspection. This means we will rely on Mediatrix to supply a temporary connection when we first move in.

We also Visited smart to arrange move of our Internet connection, now it seems at last minute there could be a problem as they now are not sure if our canopy device will work. Its strange for months they say no problem and then at 11th hour they are not so sure. They have yet to confirm, so am preparing to use a USB modem as a temporary solution

There is some local superstition and ceremony involved in moving which involves killing a goat at sunrise of the full moon, so we will be travelling at night with a truck carrying our possessions arriving in earlier hours of morning, hoping we have electricity and water.
